Regents Professor of Physics Research Area : High Energy Physics ( Theory ) Dr. Nandi is currently interested in proposing well-motivated new ideas and models beyond the Standard Model that can be tested at the experiments at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), ongoing and future neutrino experiments, as well as dark matter experiments. These ideas and models include: TeV scale unification, left-right symmetry, supersymmetry, extra compact dimensions, models of exotic resonances, as well as models of dark matter. He is also very interested in interacting with the experimental colleagues about how these ideas can be tested experimentally. Current Graduate students: Office: 227 PS1 |

Regents Professor of Physics and Interim Department Head Research Area : High Energy Physics ( Theory ) Dr. Babu is interested in the model-building aspects of elementary particle interactions. His research addresses issues such as neutrino masses and oscillations in unified theories of strong, weak and electromagnetic interactions, proton stability, origin of quark mixing, dynamical models of supersymmetry breaking, unusual Z' models, etc. Current Graduate Students: Shaikh Saad, Sudip Jana Office: 228 PS1 |

Associate Professor of Physics Research Area : High Energy Physics ( Experimental ) Dr. Rizatdinova leads an experimental high energy group. The group is involved in two major experiments, D0 at the Tevatron, Fermilab, and ATLAS at the Large Hadron Collider, CERN. The main interests of the group are top quark physics and search for a Higgs boson. The group is also involved in the optical links research and development for the next pixel system in the upgraded ATLAS detector. Current Graduate Students: Egor Antipov Current Postdoctoral Fellow: Josu Cantero Garcia, David Jamin Office: 229 PS1 |

Associate Professor of Physics Research Area : High Energy Physics ( Experimental ) Dr. Khanov is involved in experimental high energy physics. His area of expertise is the reconstruction of tracks of charged particles (tracking) and identification of particle jets produced by heavy flavor hadrons (b-tagging). Current Graduate Students: Wasikul Islam Current Postdoctoral Fellow: Josu Cantero Garcia, David Jamin Office: 251 PS2 |
